On March 22, 2016 I interviewed my neighbor and friend Deanna Peters from the front seat of her black 2015 Honda accord car. Deanna and I have been close friends ever since we found out we were neighbors, and I have been in her car on numerous late start days when we would go out to get breakfast tacos. From surveying the inside of her car for this assignment, I found a large duffle bag in the backseat which Deanna totes her volleyball clothes and shoes in. "This year, ever since I made the Bowie team, volleyball has been a big part of my life," says Peters. Also in the Honda I found two water bottles lodged in the cup holders and a few pages of homework strewn across the dashboard. Other than that, Deanna's car was mostly clean. The exterior was perfect, the car being recently washed and gleaming in the sunlight. "I love staying hydrated and am working on my final reviews," Peters says, commenting on the interior state of her car. Deanna is sixteen, a sophomore at Bowie High school, and was born in Austin, Texas. She is half Malaysian, and is planning to go to Malaysia this summer. Deanna aspires to be a pediatrician and enjoys the classes biology and nutrition. " I'm excited to take a bunch of new classes next year as a junior," she mentions. Deanna received the car not to long ago on her 16th birthday. She saved up money and payed for half the car, her family paying for the other half. With this information one can see Peters is a very hardworking and dedicated individual. "For me, having my own car is freedom. I am a very independent person and my parents saw that," she explains. Deanna finds the car a very necessary part in her everyday life. "While my parents are at work, I get into my car and drive to Panera Bread or Starbucks where I tutor kids in math. Also I sometimes drive myself to volleyball tornoments. I am very lucky to get to own a car at my age," Peters comments. Deanna Peter's remarkable accomplishments result from her drive and responsibility, and her car reflects this.

Merger Photo
1. Is there something you see in the photo above that you think could be a problem when you take your photos? Look carefully.
I think that maybe changes in location could be a problem when taking these types of photographs. Also the shadow cast from the sun is missing for one of the cloned person. I will have to be aware of the setting where I'll be taking my photo(s).
2. Where do you think would be a great place to take this type of picture here on the Bowie campus?
I think a great place to take this photograph at bowie would be in the courtyard because of the consistent natural light or
3. Can you think of something creative to actually DO in the photo when you take yours?
Maybe be in different contrasting positions that will make the photograph interesting.
4. Is there something you could wear that would help you when you do this photo?
Wearing non distracting clothes will help keep the focus on the merger aspect of the photo.

Warm Up
1. What is your favorite photo? Either describe it, or figure out a way to post it on your blog.
My favorite photo would have to be the one of New York City. There are trees hanging over the street and the tall buildings frame the picture.
2. Does it seem like all of these images could have been taken with a phone?
Yes, the iPhone takes great photos and I can believe these images were taken with an iPhone.
3. How much do you think the apps some of the photographers used impacted the image?
I think the apps the photographers use greatly impact their photographs. Editing can change an image significantly.
4. List two tips you think might help your own photography with a phone.
I think just remembering the rules of photography when I take photos will help my photos. Also taking the time to focus my iPhone camera and find an interesting angle will improve my photography skills.

HDR Photography Intro
1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?
You will have to adjust the camera for each shot if your camera doesn't have a auto exposure bracketing function.
2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?
A camera preferably with an Auto Exposure Bracketing function, a tripod, HDR blending software, and a large memory card.
3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?
To get a cool blurred affect on one's photograph. A person could want a high-contrast scene and a way to do this is with shooting HDR photographs.
4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?
You can expect a specific style of photo with an unusually high dynamic range that couldn't otherwise be achieved in a single photograph. If the pictures don't line up the final product will come out looking weird.
